Tour Delta del Orinoco

 

Dense jungle and abundant flora and fauna surround our camping grounds. It is well protected from weather and animals, and you will spend the night in double rooms with private bath.

During the day (and night), there are expeditions to the jungle (accompanied by local Indian guides and English/Spanish speaking guides) to explore the delta jungle and watch the wildlife. We will also see how the indigenous Waraos Indians live in a "stone age" environment. Government protects the region, and tourism is held to a minimum. We are permitted to go into the delta, but we must respect the privacy of the tribes.

We ask for your cooperation to protect the integrity of both nature and the people living there.

Excursions during the whole year:

First day: Navigation along the Orinoco River through Caños (branches) Buja and Bujita. Trek inside the Jungle. Native Waraos Handcrafts Expos.

Second day: Piranhas fishing in Morichal Largo River. Birdwatching at Aves Island. Visit to indigenous communities. Nocturnal excursions to the Jungle.

Third day: Canoe racing. Ride around the Island Camp. Time off and various games. Ride back to the airport of Maturin City.

Tips: Children up to 7-year old have a 50% discount for the river expedition. If the traveler resigns unjustifiably to our services, the company will not refund.
